The Bowie Skate Park is a 10,000 square foot concrete skating facility that is open for skateboard and inline skating and offers both street and vert skating elements. The street course offers numerous skating elements including rolled banks, pump bumps, kinked rails, steps, quarterpipes, and a unique snake run that connects the bowl deck to the street course. For vert skaters, the bowl varies in depth from 4-9' and sports and over vertical cradle that will challenge the most advanced skaters. Spectator seating is available throughout the facility, however spectators should be aware of loose boards and equipment and should give way to skaters. All skaters are required to wear a helmet, with chin strap secured, and must have their City-issued skate park membership card in their possession while skating. The facility will be open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset, unless otherwise posted. The facility will be closed to skating when skating surfaces are wet, icy or snow-covered. Individuals under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the agreement at time of submittal or have the agreement notarized. A photo ID will be issued at the time of registration

The Skateboard Park is located in Carroll Park behind the PAL Recreation Center on Bayard St. Come out and test your skills. Facility users must be at least 7 years old to enter. Charmcity Skateboard Park - Baltimore, Md., 4401 O’Donnell St. Ste B., Baltimore, MD, 410-327-7909, www.skateboardparks.com. The park offers Sweet Bowl, 6 Pyramids, 5 Pine Ramps, At Bars Handrails, everything you want. Other Sports allowed at the park include Blades, Bikes, Boards. A pro shop is available and stocked. The SkatePark, located immediately adjacent to the SportsPark, has nearly 15,000 square feet of fun activity apparatus, featuring: five quarter pipes, three kicker ramps, two bank ramps, two low flip bank ramps, two quarter pipe vert walls, two bank vert walls, a 6’ half pipe, a 3’ half pipe, one fun box, one 4’ spline, a 3-sided bank launch box with a rail, a 20’ straight rail, and a 20’ kink rail.Operating hours vary with the season. The SportsPark is open to the public and has an 18-hole miniature golf course, ten batting cages with softball and hardball at different speeds, two 600 square foot pavilions for parties or large gatherings, a clubhouse with snack bar, a patio, an outdoor playground, in a beautiful, natural setting! Gaithersburg Skate Park - 506 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg. 301-258-6350. Gaithersburg Skate Park. Park offers a 12,300 square foot park is designed for in-line skaters and skateboarders, 12 ramp/box structures. There are vending machines, coin operated lockers and a counter area that is staffed. The park requires and rents protective gear for the protection of participants and for future use in instructional classes and clinics. Helmets and pads are required and rentals are available. The Park is open mid-March through mid-November; weather permitting (park will be closed in the event of excessive heat or cold) and will be closed on all major holidays. Greenbelt Skatepark, 99 Centerway, Greenbelt. Helmet required. Free to skate. Peanut shaped bowl, 6.5' and 10.5', pool coping. Mellow kidney bowl, steel coping. Steal coped ledges, gaps, step ups. Quarter pipe, small snake run. The park has two bowls and a street course. The large bowl is fast and compact with few straight walls and little to no flat ground. The deep end is big. It is a compact course with a lot of lines and a very smooth finish. No cost to enter. Must sign a waiver. Must wear a helmet. Hannah More Skate Park , 12035 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, 410-887-1142, www.baltimorecountymd.gov. This skate facility features a mini-half pipe with spine, Grind box, Hip, Launch ramp with skate table, Grind Rail, Skate Bench, Manual, Grind Ledge, Drop-In Combo, Pyramid, and a quarter pipe, enclosed within a 12,800-square foot supervised area. The park is currently open for operation on weekdays between 3:30 p.m. and dusk, and weekends from noon to dusk (park hours are subject to change, and may be extended once school is out for the season). December, January, and February weekend hours only. Open Mon.-Fri. 9am-3pm.
Lansdowne Skate Park - Lansdowne. 3326 Bero Road to first left (Freeway Road) look for a paved path on the left. Park and follow the path to the park. Open during daylight hours year-round. Free. Lansdowne was built in the 1977-78. It is a relic from the skateboard revolution of the late 70's early 80's. It consists of snake runs, mellow flowing banks, a freestyle area with concrete moguls and a mellow bowl. A new street area has been added with Skatewave vert ramps, fun boxes and grid boxes. The entire park has been fenced in and no bikes are allowed! You will need to sign a waiver and people under 18 will need a parent to sign the waiver or the waiver can be taken home signed by the parent, noterized and returned. Rockville Skate Park, Welsh Park, 355 Martins Lane behind the Swim Center. Open Mid March thru Mid Oct. The park is a 10,300 square foot skating area constructed with “Skatelite Pro,” for in-line skaters, skateboarders, and free style bikers. Long popular with boarders from all across the Country, Sandy Hills Park is the home of the County's first skate facility, an, "old school," large concrete skate bowl. In addition to the bowl, the park features a new skate park street course, parking, comfort station, and playground! Open 10am-3pm.

While there is no fee for use of the County's skate facilities, skateboarders and roller bladers that wish to use the facilities must register register at the site. A parent or legal guardian must be present at the time of registration for anyone under 18 years of age. Helmets, knee and elbow pads are required for all skaters.
